The internal displacement crisis is worsening rapidly in Yemen. According to the latest data published by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) on 16 September 2026, 104,796 people have been internally displaced since July.

Taiz remains the epicentre of the crisis, with more than 63,000 people displaced across its districts. Separately, 2,776 people have left Yemen and arrived in Djibouti. This latter figure refers to cross-border movement, not internal displacement within Yemen.

The rapid rise in the figures underscores the need to keep published information up to date and adapt the humanitarian response to growing needs.
